Senior Product Engineer
Hardian Health is a digital health technology consultancy which focuses on accelerating innovative software, including artificial intelligence, to the clinical frontline by providing clinical, regulatory, health economics and IP specialist services to a global range of industrial partners, researchers, investors, and healthcare providers. 
We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to work alongside our team to expand our in-demand internally developed beta regulatory database into a production ready greenfield application.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our regulatory intelligence platform, currently in prototype form. You will work closely with the project lead to deliver a high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly solution. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. This role is fully funded through CERSI-AI, and comes with opportunities to work with leading regulatory authorities in the UK, government bodies and international regulatory agencies.

FTE Salary: up-to £70,000 DoE, + annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain the regulatory intelligence web application, ensuring a seamless experience across the stack (front-end and back-end).
Collaborate: Work closely with the team to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Code Quality: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code. Conduct code reviews and participate in team code reviews.
Testing: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and performance of the applications.
Performance Optimisation: Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Security: Implement best practices for web application security, including data protection, authentication, and authorization.
Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for the codebase and development processes within an ISO 9001 QMS (training will be provided).
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, debugging across the stack as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Full-stack Technical Expertise:
Front-End: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Back-End: Strong experience with Python backend (Django/Flask),
Data scraping: Working with large datasets to merge and clean data,
Databases: Experience with relational databases (i.e, PostgreSQL).
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - GCP preferred.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban).
Desirable Skills and Experience
Any of the following would be a bonus, but not essential:
Previous experience of developing document retrieval or search systems
Knowledge of medical devices and the regulatory landscape
Examples of self-led, full-stack, deployed projects
